DESIGN ONLY

Our design-only service is ideal for clients who need expert design and technical guidance without the site coordination.

You’ll benefit from our creative vision and in-depth design knowledge while you manage the implementation independently.

We work closely with you from concept through to detailed design, refining layouts, specifying furniture and fittings, recommending trusted trades, and offering expert support throughout the process.

DESIGN ADVISORY

This service is perfect for those seeking expert guidance at any stage of their project. Whether you're planning, mid-renovation, or adding final touches, we offer tailored advice to help you move forward with clarity and confidence, always with your personal style and needs in mind.

We can advise on anything from space planning and joinery to colour schemes, materials, furnishings, and trusted suppliers. Before the session, we’ll ask you to share relevant materials such as plans, photos or moodboards so we can make the most of our time together.

After the consultation, you’ll receive a summary of our discussion with links and recommendations. Sessions are available online or onsite and are tailored to your project.

OUR design PROCESS

At Studio Benaki, we believe in a collaborative approach to bring your vision to life, and we aim for the process to be seamless and joyful. We start by getting to know our clients, their needs and desires, and the way they live in their homes. The Studio prides itself on its personalised, friendly approach and works across diverse styles.

Our process begins with a meeting to understand you, your lifestyle, and your project goals. We define the scope, style, functional needs, budget, and timeline. Afterward, we provide a detailed proposal, and once approved, a contract outlining all terms, services, and fees.

At this stage, we develop a design concept to communicate our vision for the project. The concept will evolve through thorough research of the design brief and aims to identify the style and design direction.

We communicate the concept through a combination of moodboards, inspirational imagery, drawings and samples. You can expect the concept to showcase our vision with regards to materials, furniture, lighting, wall finishes, joinery elements colour inspiration and fabrics. During this phase, we also take the opportunity to closely examine floor plans and pinpoint areas with potential of internal architectural reconfiguration that we feel impact the flow of your space.

After the concept phase, we focus on bringing the concept to reality. During this phase, we refine the design further and recommend specific furniture, lighting & fittings that align with our shared vision. We deliver detailed drawings including plans & elevations, lighting plans and 3D visuals where required. We will also present you with our furniture, lighting & fittings recommendation and the proposed samples & finishes. For projects involving building works, we provide detailed drawings and specifications.

The procurement process is where we handle the ordering process for the agreed furniture, fixtures and fittings for the project. During this process we will manage suppliers and oversee lead times and supply chains to ensure timely delivery and the required craftmanship & quality.

We implement the design on site in collaboration with contractors and all trades involved. We visit the site regularly to ensure the project stays true to the design and that timelines are met. Throughout the process we keep close communication with you to ensure a smooth completion of works.

At the end of every project, we will style and add those final touches that brings a scheme together. Expect us to carefully source and curate accessories, art and decorative objects.
